Solving Algebraic Equations in One Variable

August 19, 2014 - Webster’s dictionary defines “algebra” as “the branch of mathematics that deals with general statements of relations, utilizing letters and other symbols to represent specific sets of numbers, values, vectors, etc. in the description of such relations.” Most people would say that it had something to do with ‘finding the value of x’ – and that would be right! This article will focus on the topic of solving equations, one of the fundamental skills in the field of algebra.
