Children Safety Information
Welcome
We are proud of the great strides that Canadians have made towards the reduction of children's preventable accidents. Sadly, even now, more children die from preventable injuries in Canada than from all childhood diseases combined. The most devastating and emotionally unyielding situation that a parent can experience is the loss of a child. Despite the overwhelming desire for parents to keep their children safe, injuries and fatalities occur at an alarming rate, generally because during our busy lives we forget some basic safety rules.
Children's Safety Association of Canada believes that the most effective way of instilling positive change for children's safety is through awareness and information progams. Our toll free information line and free distribution of our Safety Pack have helped hundreds of thousands of parents since 1992.
On this our 20th Anniversary we welcome you to our new website which has more detailed information on a wider range of children safety issues. We invite your thoughts and suggestions and urge you to become members so that you can stay current with our instant 'Recall – Health & Safety Alerts', take part in our blogs, twitters, surveys, and contests; and receive our E-Magazine that will reflect safety issues and concerns in your daily lives. Take a look at our Kid Shoppe! It's the result of numerous suggestions from some of our 40,000 members.
We believe that our new website will bring positive change and support our quest in the reduction of preventable accidents. Our mission is the same as it was 20 years ago - to provide as much information to as many parents as possible for the safety and well being of children everywhere.
